About this calculator
The YouTube Ad Revenue Calculator estimates how much a monetized YouTube creator could earn from Google AdSense, based on views and CPM.
How is estimated revenue calculated?
Estimated revenue is calculated as (Views ÷ 1000) × CPM. It's worth distinguishing CPM (what advertisers pay per 1,000 ad impressions) from RPM (what the creator actually receives per 1,000 views, after YouTube's revenue share and accounting for videos that don't show ads to every viewer) — RPM is typically noticeably lower than CPM.
Why does actual income vary so much?
YouTube's ad revenue share, audience location, content niche, seasonality (advertiser demand rises around the holidays), and ad-blocker usage all affect real earnings, and YouTube doesn't guarantee a fixed rate. This calculator is best used to get a rough sense of scale rather than an exact income prediction.
